Common Placement Test Basics
Degree-seeking students are required to present test scores from a common placement test or meet placement testing exemption status prior to registering for classes. At 麻豆视频, the following placement tests are accepted to meet this college credit placement testing requirement:
- Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT)
- SAT or ACT
- ACCUPLACER Next Generation (NG)
Scores must be current, which means the test was not taken more than two years prior to starting classes at 麻豆视频. Scores used for placement purposes for the first-time student may be from the same test, or placement may be determined by mixing subtests of different tests, providing all scores are within the two-year time limit. 麻豆视频 will use the scores that offer the best placement for the student.
To satisfy the placement testing requirement, you may do any ONE of the following:
- Qualify for an exemption under Florida law as an eligible public high school graduate or active duty military member. (Private school and home education students are not eligible for this graduation exemption).
- Have your official SAT/ACT score reports that are less than 2 years old from your enrollment date sent to 麻豆视频 by the testing company.
- Take the Common Placement Test and/or other program required testing. At 麻豆视频 the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is 麻豆视频's primary placement test, and ACCUPLACER NG is the secondary placement test. View PERT and ACCUPLACER details and how to register.
- Provide your official college transcript indicating completion of an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree or higher, or completion of college level English or math with a 鈥淐鈥 or better from a U.S. regionally accredited institution. Placement of transfer students will be based on the official evaluation of credit earned at previous colleges; testing may be required based on that evaluation.
