Orientation & Advising
Once you're accepted into your Bachelor's specialization of choice, you must complete Student Orientation and meet with a Bachelor's Advisor prior to registering for your first semester of classes.
Orientation ensures that you understand the policies and processes related to being an Â鶹ÊÓƵ student. During the advising session, you will review a personalized course plan to aid in registration.
After orientation and your initial advising session are complete, you may register online. Registration holds are placed on all accepted bachelor student records until orientation and advising are completed.
How to access orientation and bachelor's advising
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è; Student Orientation is done online, with custom versions for bachelor students based on whether they are new to Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Access orientation by with your Â鶹ÊÓƵ student email and password. Click the orientation icon to start. You
do not need to finish in one session. The system will remember where you left off and let you restart until completed. After completion, you can revisit the system
and review material or use the links on the individualized list of resources you create
during the orientation process.
Students must be officially accepted into a bachelor's program to access online orientation. It is NOT a step you can complete before your acceptance. If you wish to register for classes during your required visit with an Advisor, please complete the online orientation prior to your scheduled appointment.
Making a Bachelor's Advising Appointment: Â鶹ÊÓƵ students with myÂ鶹ÊÓƵ Portal access, must schedule your bachelor advising appointment
in myÂ鶹ÊÓƵ. Once logged in to the portal:
• Current Â鶹ÊÓƵ A.A. and A.S. students, find the Student Services Appointments area
and click the calendar icon, select “Academic Advising," then "Bachelor Degree Advising."
If considering a bachelor program, make an appointment for "General Information -
Future Bachelor Student."
• Current Bachelor students (including newly admitted) can schedule an appointment
with their assigned advisor through the Student Services Appointments section.
Non-Â鶹ÊÓƵ Prospective Student Appointments
If you are not a current Â鶹ÊÓƵ student (not admitted or enrolled in any program), prospective student appointments are available.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Bachelor program courses can fill quickly when registration begins before each term. To finish a program that has a designated 100% online option by taking only online courses, students need to register in a timely manner to ensure they have a seat for the online course offerings of their choice. The same guidance applies to access for face-to-face courses on campus. Work with your advisor as needed when planning and be sure to check the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Academic Calendar and student email for current information about registration start dates.
