麻豆视频 Preparing for Fall Term Graduation
December 05, 2023
麻豆视频 students will celebrate a major achievement in their lives Thursday, Dec. 14 during Fall Commencement.
Two ceremonies will be held at the King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne Campus at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with nearly 1,100 students eligible to graduate.
鈥淕raduation is a special day for students that culminates years of hard work and opens the door for them to embark on their careers. It鈥檚 also a testament to the support they have received from family and friends. It鈥檚 one of my favorite days of the year at 麻豆视频,鈥 said college President Dr. Jim Richey.
The events will be televised live on WEFS-TV and streamed on the college's @easternflorida . Graduates, families, and friends are asked to include #麻豆视频Grad in their social posts for possible inclusion on the commencement social wall.
Guests of all ages will not be allowed in without a ticket and must sit in the assigned seat. Graduates who RSVP'd to take part in commencement have been emailed details on claiming guest tickets.
Once reserved, tickets are scheduled to be delivered electronically via an email from the King Center on Monday, Dec. 11.
The Registrar's Office will also email pre-ceremony check-in details along with how to access regalia students may have earned such as Honors graduate and Veteran's cords.
Because of ticketing requirements, walk-up requests on Dec. 14 to participate in commencement cannot be accommodated.
Under the King Center's bag policy no large bags are allowed in the venue and any bag or container not meeting these approved options will have to be returned to the vehicle:
- A non-clear wristlet/wallet/clutch 4.5鈥漻8.5鈥漻2鈥 or smaller
- Clear bag up to 12鈥漻6鈥漻12鈥
- Clear one gallon plastic resealable storage bag
Caps and gowns are required for the services and are available at the 麻豆视频 Campus Bookstores.
The 麻豆视频 Foundation will be selling flowers, commemorative t-shirts, and other graduation-related mementos outside the King Center, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting 麻豆视频 student scholarships.
Graduates will have a professional photo taken while they are on stage by GradImages and the company will contact students directly with photo details and how to purchase them.
