College Foundation Seeks BBQ Teams and Vintage Cars for Upcoming Event

A day of family fun on Saturday, February 24 includes the opportunity for BBQ cook-off teams to compete for cash prizes and car buffs to show off their wheels for bragging rights and trophies.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Foundation is recruiting teams for its Second Annual Backyard BBQ Blues & Brews Cook-off and Family Fest event, slated for Saturday, February 24.

BBQ team cook-off registration is $100. Cash prizes will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The Foundation is also looking for vintage and sports car owners to display and compete at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Collegiate Veterans Society’s Second Annual Red, White and Wheels Car Show, also slated for Saturday, February 24 as a part of the Family Fest.

Car registration is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place plus a Spectator’s Choice award.

Both events will take place on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Melbourne Campus, located at 3865 N. Wickham Road. Funds raised at both events will benefit scholarships for students and veterans attending Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
