麻豆视频 President Dr. Jim Richey toured all four campuses Monday in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, meeting with faculty and staff and talking with students to make sure their needs were met.

Dr. Richey Meets with StudentsThe College reopened Monday following the Category 4 storm that just missed a direct hit on Brevard County last week, leaving behind damage and power outages.

The Titusville, Cocoa, Melbourne and Palm Bay campuses were largely spared and Richey found them running smoothly.

He thanked teams of College employees who worked around-the-clock over the weekend to inspect buildings, check systems and prepare for Monday classes.

鈥淭heir work was nothing less than herculean. They did an incredible job in a very short amount of time and I鈥檓 very proud of them,鈥 said Richey.

Some students told Richey they were still without power at their homes and were happy the College was open so they could enjoy air conditioning and use Wi-Fi.

Others said returning to class helped them regain a sense of normalcy following the trouble Matthew left behind.
