Three Music Concerts on Tap for November

The Simpkins Fine Arts Center on 麻豆视频's Cocoa Campus will be filled with choral and instrumental music created by 麻豆视频 Performing Arts students November 13, 18 & 19.
The Simpkins Center is located at 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, FL 32922.
First up in the trio of fall performances: The 麻豆视频 Community Orchestra will present 鈥淔all Colors!鈥 on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Under the direction of their conductor, James Bishop, the musicians will perform a wide variety of musical styles to engage the audience, including Marche Militaire Francaise from 鈥淪uite Algerienne鈥 by Camille Saint-Saens, Pas de deux from 鈥淣utcracker鈥 by Peter Tschaikowsky, "Espana" by Emmanuel Chabrier, and Intermezzo and Barcarcolle from 鈥淭ales of Hoffman鈥 by the Overture from 鈥淣abucco鈥 by Giuseppe Verdi.
On Wednesday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. the 麻豆视频 Madrigal Ensemble and Concert Choir will present their annual Fall Choral Concert featuring a performance of Benjamin Britten鈥檚 arrangement of English Christmas Carols, "A Ceremony of Carols," accompanied by Dawn Edwards, principal harpist of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.
Contemporary American composers and arrangers will also be represented, including
spiritual arrangements by Andr茅 Thomas, Director of Choral Activities at Florida State
University.
The concert will be conducted by Dr. Robert E. Lamb, professor of music at Eastern
Florida State College.
At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, the genre turns to jazz as the Eastern Florida State College Jazz Band presents 鈥淛azz Classics!鈥
Conductor James Bishop will lead the band in numbers sure to be crowd pleasers that include "Give It One" by Maynard Ferguson, "Splanky" by Neal Hefti, "Yesterdays" by Bill Holman, "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars, "Live and Let Die" by Paul McCartney, "Feels So Good" by Chuck Mangione, "Katy" by Sammy Nestico, "Pick Up The Pieces" by Roger Ball, and "I鈥檓 Beginning To See The Light" by Rory Bourke.
General admission tickets for all three shows are $6 and each and will be available at the door. Tickets for the November 18 Madrigal Ensemble and Concert Choir concert are also available before the show online at www.easternflorida.edu/go/events
